Oncology Massage
This course focuses on developing your understanding of common conditions and how this will influence your work as an oncology massage therapist. Learn how to modify your existing techniques along with learning some new ones specific to these conditions.
A cancer diagnosis can be extremely traumatic; patients are often suddenly faced with their own mortality, and an uncertain future. The desired outcome for oncology massage is to leave the patient feeling relieved. Whilst there are numerous physical benefits of massage, there are just as many for mental health. Understand the basics of how cancer forms, learn about the research behind oncology massage, understand the different types of treatment and their side effects including the disease process itself.

Sessions: 7th and 14th October, both sessions to be attended.
3 case studies each having 3 treatments each are required to be completed and submitted after the course to gain certification.
Must be massage qualified to attend.
Learners will work on each other during the course.
