What qualification will I achieve?

VTCT Level 3 (NVQ) UNIT CERTIFICATE Stone Therapy, which is an internationally recognised qualification.

How long is the course?

The course is 12 weeks in total, this comprises of in class sessions and interactive online anatomy study sessions. The course will include practical work, theory underpinning knowledge work. Assignments, tests and practical assessments. 

What subjects will I study?

You will learn about: 

  • Health, Safety and Hygiene
  • Contra Indications, contra actions and aftercare advice
  • Stone Therapy underpinning knowledge and history
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Practical treatment for Stone Therapy
  • Massage underpinning knowledge

How will I be assessed?

All the practical work is assessed in salon on clients. You will also prove your knowledge of practical work through oral questions. There are assignments and tests in each unit. A portfolio of evidence is built up throughout the course.

This is a professional qualification and high standards of personal appearance and conduct will be required. Most assessments are carried out in our salon and must be to a professional standard.

This course is ideal for those already in the beauty industry wishing to expand their current skills or those new to industry wishing to begin massage treatments. You may also wish to widen your qualifications by studying additional courses such as: Indian Head Massage, Beauty Therapy, Body Massage.
